Devotion to Special Program

a)      In 17th September 1997, Vanessa Quai took part in the Sarabetu Church of Christ Music talent Night.  This is when her musical fame began.

b)      In November 1997, she was the highlight of the Vila East Primary School end of year Break up function.

c)      In July 1998,  she performed at the Sea front for the Public appeal for the Aitape Disaster Relief Fund.

d)     In October 1998, she performed a two nights concert at the Club Vanuatu for the victims of the Aitape, north east of PNG,  and raised 250,000 vatu for the victims.  The funds was handed over to the PNG Consul in Vanuatu, Mrs Eileen NGANGA.

e)      In October 1998, she sang in the opening of the Vanuatu Constitution Day.

f)        In February 1999, she teamed up with the Soul Brothers singers to do a three nights concert at the Cine Hickson and at the Korman Stadium to raise funds for the NTM Church College building.  Over 500,000 vatu was raised.

g)      In 1999, she sang at the opening of the national Volleyball league final at the Ex-FOL.

h)      In September 1999, she performed In Maskelin Island, South Of Malekula to raise funds for the Presbyterian youth in Maskelin.  Over 100,000 vatu was raised.

i)        In July 2000, she sang in the Opening of the Mitsubishi Soccer tournament at the Municipal Stadium.

j)        In October 2000, she performed a two nights concert at the Club Vanuatu and part of the funds raise was donated to the Vanuatu School for Disable People.  50,000 vatu was handed over to the Director of VSDP, Mrs. Elizabeth MAEL.

k)      In 2001, she did a show to raise funds for the Presbyterian youth on the island of Lelepa, Efate. Over 70,000 vatu was raised.

l)        In 2001, she did a show to raise funds for the Presbyterian youth on the Island of Nguna Island.  Over 50,000 vatu was raised.

m)    In 2001, she sang at the opening match between the PNG and Vanuatu National Rugby match at the Korman Stadium.  

n)      In December 2002, she sang at the graduation ceremony of the INTV students.

o)      In September 2002, she performed a four nights concert in Honiara, Solomon Islands to raise funds for the Solomon Islands Athletes to the 2003 South Pacific Games.  Over 5,000,000 vatu was raised.  This event was a very successful events and a very special event, because Vanessa Quai’s concert was first event that bring the people of the entire community of the Solomon Islands together since the social ethnic crises took place in 1996.  This is when over 20,000 people came together in one show, and enjoy the show together with no problem.

p)      In November 2003, she performed in the opening and the closing of the Asia Pacific Prayer Assembly held in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

r)        In 2003, she sang for the opening of the new complex of the Central Primary School.

 

s)       In June 2003,  she perform at the Vila Central Hospital to participate in the Kiwanis fund raising for the Vila Central Hospital Kitchen.  Over 1,000,000 vatu was raised.   The funds was handed to Mrs. Jill, the owner of the Jill’s café in Port Vila.

 

t)        In May 2003, she perform in the opening and closing of the South Pacific Nurses Forum, held in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

 

u)      In December 2003, she toured Malaita Island, Gizo Island in the Western Province and Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands as part of the Peace Process Program of the Solomon Islands.  Whilst  in the Solomon Islands, Vanessa Quai was invited by the Commander of the RAMSI, Commander Flowers and perform for the RAMSI contingent in Honiara.

 

v)      In February 2004,  she performed a three days show at the Penama Provincial Government Stadium at Saratamata, and raise over 500,000 vatu for the Penama Provincial Hospital.

 

w)    In April 2004, she supported the Vanuatu Tourism Office to perform in Auckland, New Zealand, to launched the Vanuatu Tourism Office Promotional Materials.

 

x)      In October 2004, she performed a night concert at the Erakor Village to raise funds for the Erakor Presbyterian Church in Erakor Village.  Over 200,000 vatu was raised.

 

y)      In November 2004, she performed as the guest artist in the National Youth Festival, organized by the FSP, in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

 

z)      In November 2004, she donated three of her songs to the FSP Vanuatu for the use in the FSP program.  The songs were handed over to the FSP program Manager, Mr. Graham TABI 

 

aa)  In November 2004, she was honorary invited and performed at the VTO “TokTok” program, held at the Le Lagon Resort, Port Vila.

 

bb)  In December 2004, she was honorary invited as the guest artist and performed at the Annual National Prayer Breakfast for leaders at the Australian Federal Parliament House, in Canberra.

 

cc)  In February 2005, she performed in the Vanuatu Red Cross Society Music Concert to participate in the fund raising for the Asia Tsunami Disaster Relief fund for the victim.  Over 1,000,000 vatu was raised.

 

dd)                       In February 2005, she donated a special proceeding of 10% out of her album “Promise” towards Vanuatu Red Cross Society.  The President Of the VRCS, Mr. Ati Geoge SOKOMANU awarded Vanessa Quai the VRCS badge.

 

ee)  In March 2005, she was honorary invited and performed in the opening of the National Year Of Tourism, held at the Rossi Resort in Port Vila.

 

ff)      In March 2005, she represent Vanuatu to performed at the largest Gospel Music Festival in Australia, AGMF (Australian Gospel Music Festival), where over 50,000 people attended, held in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

 

gg) In March 2005, she sand at the 20th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. Raymond Chin and his wife alongside with Iron & Clay popular Hip-Hop R&B group from Australia in Brisbane.  Mr. Chin is the owner of the CHM Supersound Production in PNG.

 

hh)  In April 2005, she toured Northern Queensland, Australia, and performed concerts to support the South Sea Landers and Aboriginal Churches, where over 5,000 South Sea Islanders attended the concerts, to raise funds for the Ni-Vanuatu missionarie in the Aboriginal and south sea islanders community in northern Queensland.   

 

ii)      In May 2005,  she was the Guest Artist at the Vanuatu National Council Of Women 25th Jubilee celebration at Mangaliliu Village, Efate, as a special guest.

 

jj)      In June 2005, she was the Guest Artist during the fund raising of the WAPOA Police Crime Prevention Program.  Over 100,000 vatu was raised. 

 

kk)  On the 9th June 2005, she was honorary invited by the British High Commissioner in Vanuatu to sing the two national anthems, the British and the Vanuatu National at the Queens Birthday Celebration and at the same time fare welling the BHC Office.

 

ll)      On the 26th July 2005, she was the Guest Artist at the 16th Pacific Judicial Conference at the Le Lagon Hotel, In Port Vila, Vanuatu.

 

mm)                     On the 29th July she participated in the Nations Silver Jubilee float parade, and sang for the Nations Silver Jubilee anniversary float parade.  She perform at the Nations Silver Jubilee evening concerts.

 

nn)  On the 30th July , she was the guest artist at the Presidential Awards Cocktail function at the State House.  She was the guest artist at the Silver Jubilee Cocktail function at Le Lagon Resort. 

 

oo) On the 9th October 2005, she donated 30,000 vatu to the Vila Central Hospital for the Out patients Emergency room.

 

pp) On the 10th October 2005, she donated 20,000 vatu to the Fest Napuan Association towards the Renovation of the Fest Napuan Practise Room.

 

qq)                       In April 2006, she was a guest artist at the Australian Gospel Music Festival, held in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, where over 50,000 people attended.

 

rr)      In December 2006, she perform for the Santo Rotary Club,  Malo Community, Port Olry Community in Santo, and Nabangahake Village Community, on West Ambae.

 

ss)   In January 2007, she performed at the Parachute Music Festival, the largest Gospel Music Festival in the Southern Hemisphere, held in Hamilton, New Zealand.

 

tt)      In March 2007, she was given the honor by the WHO, to Chair the Pacific Islands Ministers Mental Health Network, held in Port Vila.
